We’re Expanding Our Shop!
Precision Tork is taking another step forward! Within the last few years, we have seen a significant growth in our customer base and incoming orders. In an effort to keep our lead times as short as possible, we have decided to expand our facility. This expansion will include a large addition to our current shop area. Our new expansion will incorporate a new, optimized floor plan as well as upgraded equipment to make our existing production more efficient. This new area will allow us to add new machines, machinists, and engineers.
New Benefits for Our Customers
Expanding our shop will lead to many new benefits for our customers. The most effective benefit will be more sustainable lead times. As we have grown our customer base and product offering, we have seen less available machine capacity. Expansion is always a bit intimidating and definitely a big decision, but our top priority is our customers and getting them products when they need it. If we had decided to put the expansion off, this could have resulted in a longer lead times or sometimes turning business away. Fortunately, the larger floor plan will allow us to acquire more people and machines. With all of the additional people and machines we will have more resources available to get every order out the door on time.
Expansion will also allow improved quality. With more employees and machines, it allows more room for specific areas of specialization. Certain employees will dedicate their time to quality assurance to ensure that our quality is always held to the highest standard. We will also be creating expert groups that focus on modernizing our documentation and product tracking. This significantly improves our performance testing and adds product spec insurance, ensuring our products are even more consistent and reliable when going out the door.
Our vendors will also be seeing some benefit. We are going to need more support with this growing operation! To keep these orders going out the door on time, we are going to be ordering more commodities, software, and specialized services. This demand will be ongoing and should help our vendors keep their operation running.
Our Community Matters to Us
Our expansion will come with many benefits to the community. With this expansion, we will be creating more jobs to support good hard working people. This means that there will be a few more options in the job market for people to support themselves and their families. At the same time, we stimulate the economy through our construction projects and equipment purchases. We will also be mitigating our emissions if we decide to utilize green energy in the near future! Lastly, an expansion like this allows us to make more charitable donations to help support our community in other ways.
Overall, this expansion is a positive for all parties. During the initial stages of our expansion, it might be difficult to see what has been changed. But when you look at the big picture, you’ll see that our customers, our employees, our vendors, and our community are all going to see benefits from this expansion.
